Touch 1.9 “Music of the Spheres” Review

May 15, 2012 | No Comment |

This week’s episode of Touch was the exact opposite of last week’s installment, as much as everyone hated the last episode, as much as everyone liked this episode that was called “Music of the Spheres.” The usual deal is that some storylines will be the focus of the show, while the rest are sidelined, and this is fine, but for this episode, Touch has shed light on all of the storylines in a beautiful way, all storylines were completing each other and fitting all the events that took place, and we all found ourselves caring and following each character by heart. For example when we saw Marin being told by Sheri that going to the park was in fact a bad idea; everyone wanted to see Marin asking her for the reason behind such thought.

Touch Season 1 Episode 9

But sadly, we didn’t get that. So it was unclear, was she doing that because she wanted to protect the boy, so it was out of care. Or was it because she wanted to control him and keep him in a leash. We all felt for the kid, because it is a known fact for any kid, when the parents push the kid too much, the more he will rebel, and of course Jake was no different, so each time Martin would start talking about the spelling application, all what Jake did was to refuse and resists it more and more. What Martin should have done is to leave Jake do it on his own will on his free time and not to push him to do it whenever he decides. As for the whole event when we had Jake holding a gun, it was very creepy and scary, and this is the case with any gun in any kids hand, but it was unclear whether Jake knew what he was doing and did he grasp the whole situation or not.

Onto another storyline, which was one of the most heart-touching storylines, Andre’s story, everyone could easily relate to his fears. His fear was very understandable because his brother is the only family he has left, and it is a known fact that they will be torn apart if they are put into the foster care system. And of course the operation where they planned to arrest the officer was great, even the romantic story between Felipe and Yarah was very entertaining and interesting to watch. We saw how Yarah was clinging to that café due to the fact that this café was the last link she have to her family, sadly, she didn’t know that there was a family of hers that needed her the most, of course we didn’t see that connection until the episode came to an end.
